Highbrow Pepalena- 1 yr old AQHA colt. He was saved from the Oct. 2009 sale by my dear friend Dianna. He has the sweetest personality and a great pedigree.

Nov. 29, 2009..This is a 10 yr old APHA mare named Char Winken Dash. She was saved from the kill buyers at the sale by my awesome friend and fellow horse savior. She had the chance to talk to the mare's owner at the sale. Char is a finished barrel horse that won her rider many awards, saddles, etc. The guy that brought her in is the father to the owner. The owner went off to college and he didn't want to feed horses if there was no one to ride them. This goes to show you that good horses are continually dropped off at the sale. I am thinking of starting up barrel racing again. This mare just might make me do it :-)

This is Goodnight Loving in the fall of 2008 on the day that she was rescued from auction. Two days later she was brought to her new family. The next pic is when we picked her up from her adoptive family. This is a good example of people not following advice on the proper care of a horse. If you do not have any horse experience and are either unwilling or to lazy to follow advice, do not bring home a horse!!!!

Goodnight Lovin (May 9, 2009)- Unfortunately this filly is 2 yrs old. She came here full of worms and needing lots of TLC. It will take some time, but in a few months no one will recognize her. Please note: her halter has been loosened !!

Kerbaugh's Mr. T- 16 yr old mini stallion. We paid $50 to his owner to keep him from going to the sale.

Rosie- She was rescued from the kill pen at our local auction. She had her foal taken from her and was extremely fearful of people. Rosie is now a companion for an older pony

Dante- He was also rescued the same day as Rosie. He has found a happy, new life as a child's mount and pet.

This is a horse that we rescued as a yearling in AK. He spent his entire first year of life tied to a tree. When we brought him home, he was nothing but bones. Once he was healthy my daughter (who was 7 and weighed about 45 lbs at the time) started riding him. Of course we cleared it with the vet first. This little guy never offered to buck. Him and Talysa rode all over the place. What a sweetheart!! Before we left AK he was placed in a wonderful, forever home

Classy- This mare we rescued, along with Dandy, as a 2 yr old. She also had spent her entire life tied to a tree. When we first brought her home the only thing she would do is walk in circles. She did not know how to walk in a straight line. After alot of rehab, I started her under saddle and placed her with a friend

Lacy - 2005 TB filly - what an "in your pocket" little gal. She was a rescue that we took in to foster. She had alot of growing left to do. Once she was on good feed she grew so quickly that we had a hard time keeping weight on her. In these pics she is 2 yrs old. She is a full TB so you can see just how stunted she was.
